We’re honored to announce that Beaver Health has been awarded the Grand Prize at the Harvard President’s Innovation Challenge, recognizing our mission to support older adults and the family caregivers who care for them.

Backed by the generosity of the Bertarelli Foundation and the Harvard Innovation Labs, this award empowers us to expand access to evidence-based, human-centered tools that help families navigate aging and caregiving with more support and less stress.

As aging populations grow, families across the country are stepping into caregiving roles without adequate resources. At Beaver Health, we build interactive assistive technologies that support the health, independence, and dignity of older adults, while offering 24/7 guidance and emotional support to the family caregivers by their side.

This recognition is a validation of the urgent need for scalable, personalized solutions in elder care and home caregiving.

A Personal Mission with a National Reach

Our work at Beaver Health is deeply personal. Every member of our team has cared for aging loved ones. We know what it’s like to sit on endless waitlists, navigate language barriers, and advocate in high-stakes medical situations without expert backup. These experiences fuel our commitment to build technology that actually meets families where they are: at home, in real time, and in plain language.

With support from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Institute on Aging (NIA), we have been able to advance our research and commercialization efforts to better serve caregivers and older adults. We are proud to be part of the NIA portfolio and to have the opportunity to showcase our work at the AgeTech Collaborative’s Founders Summit & What’s Next Longevity Venture Summit, sponsored by AgeTech Collaborative™ from AARP.

Gratitude and Momentum

We are deeply thankful to the Bertarelli Foundation, the team at Harvard Innovation Labs, and the incredible mentors and advisors who have supported us throughout this journey. We also thank our families — the friends, parents, and grandparents who inspired this mission — and the thousands of caregivers whose lived experiences guide our work every day.

As Rosalynn Carter said,

“There are only four kinds of people in the world: those who have been caregivers, those who are caregivers, those who will be caregivers, and those who will need caregivers.”
